Structured into three components, the Master Diploma course is broken down into the VFX, 3D animation and Editing modules.
VFX is a major component of any multimedia project, and this course module introduces the basics of design and multimedia. Encompassing various techniques including those used in live action movies to creating digital backgrounds, the module aims to give an insight into the processes and applications of Multimedia design. With applications in Television and Post film production, studying VFX builds an essential skill set to work in the media industry.
The course covers motion graphics, rotoscoping, wire and rig removal, keying, 2D and 3 D tracking, compositing, and stereo paint 3D.
From designing concepts through to its production, a multimedia project is dependent on a creative thinking process being supplemented by critical problem solving skills. The 3D Animation module aims to equip the students with the skills needed to bridge the gap between the inception of an idea to its implementation. Learning techniques of modeling and animation, the aim of the course is to build your expertise in all facets of animation, from concept design to production.
This module covers modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, dynamics, and rendering and lighting.
A story, if too long, can lose its viewers interest. Too short, and it makes no sense. This is where the need for the right editing comes in. A familiar term used in the making movies, the concepts of Editing are just as applicable and relevant to multimedia design. The third component of the Master Diploma course, this module encircles the various applications of Editing in Digital Video and Animation. Digital Editing Software and its uses in Multimedia design are explored, along with the techniques used in creating various media clips – from a promotional trailer to an educational short film.
