The small tick mark of an athletic shoe, the looping M of a fast food chain, the four interlocking circles on a luxury car are proof enough that a powerful logo is one of the most valuable assets to a brand. During the Graphic Design course, learn the importance of logos, the various types of logos and the types of colour schemes used. Learn the various aspects of logo making, from wordmarks to emblems, and dive into the intricacies of creating a symbol that incorporates the brand within.
The evolution of High Definition into everyday life has never been more evident than in recent years. While airbrushing and photo rendering have become a part of the instagram generation today; Image Editing has been an integral part of Graphic Design over the years. Image Editing involves the process of altering images, retouching photographs or the use of particular software to render or create computer art. The course aims to introduce the role of image editing in ad making and print media. Practical applications are emphasized, with particular attention paid to the application of image editing in designing logos, visiting cards, brochures, ad Flexis etc.
Pursuing the growing need for trained graphic designers in the field of animation, our course incorporates 2D painting as a module. This module aims to develop the basic visual skills used by artists and designers working creatively in 2D. Learning the foundations of form, color and texture, this module also provides students training for Flash animation, cartoon designing, background designing, and character painting. As a final part of the program, the students submit a live project in the field of their chosen specialty, arrived at with guidance from our capable Studio.
Creating a basic webpage, using the proper coding and understanding the usage of various core technologies in building webpages is discussed. The building blocks of web development – HTML and CSS – are introduced, which allows the students to learn about designing and applying various effects. This is built on with HTML5 and CSS3, adding on knowledge about responsive webpages, basic objects and drawing, gradient filling, and webpage development.
The course follows up with introduction to jQuery- regarded as the backbone of web development. An important tool, which can simplify HTML document traversing, event handling, and animating, for rapid web design and development, familiarity with jQueryallows the designer a new way of web development and effective usage of image galleries.
A set of processes and technologies supporting the collection and management of information published in a website, content management develops understanding about the central interface of a website and its effective administration. As an evolution from HTML and CSS into building webpages, CMS dominate the web building game today. Cheaper, Faster and Easier to use, software like Wordpress, Joomla and Drupal introduced in the course to further improve the skill set of our students. Website Wireframes are also a part of the course, which give a visual guide to building a webpage
Publishing a fully created website is the most important step in the process. Domain registration, web servers, web hosting, and processes involved in uploading to servers are taught as a part of the course. The how-to’s of embedding Email templates and fundamentals of Payment gateway integration are also taught, giving an edge to the students looking to build e-commerce websites.
